I feel like David Beckham being able to make great tasting coffee drinks without having to attend barista classes. No need for Starbucks drive thru anymore. Within a week I now have unreasonable expectations when I buy coffee drinks at a coffee shop.

Delicious drinks at the push of 3 buttons. The tamper feature makes a perfect puck every time with no practice needed. Easy to use and perfectly frothed milk. Best cappuccino I’ve ever had. Pricey but worth it!

Cons:
[-] regularly the machine turns off, it flashes some error code and powers off.
[-] the hopper sensor regularly says fill when it’s full (might be the beans or if it needs cleaned every month, still a con)
[-] the tamper doesn’t do a good job at all, leaves a lot of ground around sides and uneven making a mess of the machine side
[-] after brewing the puck sticks to the machine which makes cleaning / brewing more than one cup a process
[-] large discrepancy in milk frothing regardless of type. Sometimes it’s fast with no foam other times it’s perfect

Went through 2 machines in 2024 and both would intermittently power off during frothing displaying ER09 error. The most recent machine shocked my hand through the jug while manually steaming. Customer support says “as the number of these machines that have issues is an extremely small percentage of the many we sell, there is not a documented trend indicating that any engineering change needs to be made.” My experience was 2 of 2. Highly recommend reading all of the reviews and searching the issue on Reddit before purchasing this machine.

Have had a couple Breville’s in past 15 years and really liked them. They got used a lot and always put out great coffees. Took the plunge and bought this more expensive model, and am Glad I did. This machine is great and worth the money. It has programmed in coffee likes of various people I serve coffee to. What a machine.

I didn’t have to play a lot. Put fresh (really fresh) roasted coffee on it and a nice cup of espresso.
Got some friends at home and the milk system is magic. Cappuccinos and lattes better than many I bought at coffee shops.
So far simply amazing!

I enjoyed this machine a great deal (did not appreciate the plastic around the brew head/shower screen).. Its easy to program and pull a shot.. Milk frothing was easy and the foam was excellent.. The machine will help tamp for you and if there isn’t enough ground coffee in the portafilter, the machine will grind until the perfect portion of ground coffee is reached and the machine will remember the next time.. Perfect blend of features from a super automatic and semi auto espresso machine; you can manually do things or allow the machine to do everything for you except move the portafilter and your cup!!! Easier cleanup than a super automatic machine..

In the past, we stayed away from espresso at home because it was intimidating but this machine helped break it down in a way that’s approachable and easy. For the past several months we’ve been trying out coffee from various local roasters and enjoying 2 cups of latte a day. We really can’t live without it.

Just wonderful! 3rd Breville espresso machine I have owned. Started with an Infuser which was super good. With the Touch Impress I have my morning latte in about 2 or 3 minutes!!!! Yes!! And I save lots of beans with the great dialing in assist.❤️
