I’ve been using it every single day! Everything works great. We keep up with the suggested maintenance and I have had no problems.
I’m using mineral water exclusively as the water in my region is hard and build up calcium in just a few days. I am using Lavazza coffee beans.
Regarding pressure gauging I had no problems. However it needs to be used right. I suggest reading the instructions and every information you need to solve low pressure is there. If you do not use as oriented it won’t work, because is not supposed to work.
The instructions are clear and easy to use for set up the coffee machine. Once you find the best set up for you, you’re all set for a long time of no one messes with it!
It’s easy to clean and maintain, its durability is great. It definitely worth buying if you like expressos!

I love this Breville expess for the ease of use. There are a lot of youtube videos online so you can hone in your technique till perfection. I used to go to the Starbuck everyday but once I owned this machine I haven’t been back since unless I’m traveling. Don’t cheap out on the beans cause the oily beans will clogged up your grinder and it’s very difficult to clean. I use the hand grinder instead which I think works better than the build-in grinder. Also the steam handle are too short and small make it difficult to turn with one hand so I added the after the market magnetic handle to elongate the old handle for the ease of use.

There are so many videos that will show you how to properly use the machine to get the best coffee every time. I (like you reading this may be) was hesitant to spend so much on an espresso machine. My daily coffee shop stop was pricy but I had zero prior knowledge or experience. I also assumed that my home coffee attempts would be a flop and I’d be back at the coffee shop shortly.
I purchased this in July 2023 when it went on sale for around $450. It’s now January 2024 and I use it almost daily and sometimes several times a day. On days I work from home it saves me from getting out and wasting time getting coffee. On days I go to the office I still end up making one in my insulated cup and taking it with me. I’ve returned to a coffee shop a couple times when out of town. I can honestly say what I can make at home is the same or better than anything from a coffee shop.
Currently I am enjoying trying out new local roasted beans. Messenger coffee beans so far have been my favorite and the ones I continue to go back to.
When it goes on sale purchase it. You won’t regret it. If mine broke or was stolen today I’d have a new one ordered by the end of the day.
I recommend purchasing these basics with your machine-Torani syrup in the large bottles (25.5 and up), pumps for bottles, knock box, good quality beans.
